Privacy policy

MyRecall is a notebook for follow-ups and reminders. What you put in it is yours. This policy explains what we collect, why, who else handles it, and how to take it with you or delete it. The short version: we use your information only to run MyRecall for you. We don’t sell it, we don’t show ads, and we don’t use your notes to train AI models.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address, your name, your time zone, and a profile photo if you add one.
- What you save: notes, reasons, checklists, subtasks, areas and lists, habits and check-ins, important dates, comments, photos and files you attach, and emails you forward to your MyRecall address.
- Connected calendars: the private calendar link you paste, and the events we read from it (titles, times, locations, meeting links, and notes) so they can show in the app and your morning email.
- Devices and sign-in: a record of each signed-in session (with the browser or device name), and, if you turn on notifications, the push address your browser gives us for that device.
- Usage: simple events such as “a note was created” or “a reminder was sent”, which never include what your notes say, and error messages from the app so we can fix problems.
- Feedback and reports: what you send us, with the device details listed in the feedback form.
How we use it
- To run MyRecall: save and sync your notebook, send reminders and your morning email or notification, and show your calendar.
- To share what you choose to share (below).
- To keep MyRecall working and safe: sign-in codes, fixing bugs, preventing abuse, and answering reports.
- To email you about your account, such as sign-in codes, invitations, and replies to feedback.
Shared areas
When you share an area, everyone in it can see and change what’s in that area, including its notes, lists, reminders, comments, photos, and files, plus the names and photos of the people in it. Nothing outside that area is shared. People you invite by email receive your name and the area’s name. You can leave, remove people, stop sharing, report, or block someone at any time.
Who else handles your information
We use a small number of service providers to run MyRecall, only for that purpose:
- Vercel hosts the app, and Supabase hosts the database where your notebook is stored.
- Resend sends and receives email (sign-in codes, reminders, the morning email, and emails you forward to MyRecall).
- Apple, Google, Mozilla, or Microsoft deliver notifications to your devices through their push services, depending on your browser.
- Calendar links you connect are read from the provider that made them (such as Google, Apple, or Microsoft).
We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect people from harm. If MyRecall is ever sold or merged, this policy continues to apply to your information.
Security
Everything travels over encrypted connections. Sign-in codes and session tokens are stored only as one-way hashes, and your notebook is visible only to you and the people you share an area with. MyRecall’s administrator can see account details such as names, emails, and counts, not the contents of your notebook.
Your choices
- Take it with you: Export notes downloads everything in your notebook.
- Delete your account: in the app, open your account and choose Delete account. Your account and everything in it are deleted right away (copies in backups are gone within 30 days). Shared areas you started pass to the next person in them, and what you added to someone else’s shared area stays with them.
- Emails and notifications: turn the morning email, morning notification, meeting nudges, shared-area activity, and device notifications on or off anytime.

Children
MyRecall isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
